Well, I had a chance to head up to the ranch in Lemhi and do one of the things that I like to do most. I like to shoot some of the thousands upon thousands of ground squirrels they have there. The best part of it all was that I had some of my greatest friends there with me. I feel terrible that I didn't take my camera. The Blatter family, who I met in my first area of the mission field, was out here in good ol' Idaho to enjoy the 'hunting' with me. Actually, they were out here for two of their son's graduations from BYU-Idaho. All in all we figured we murdered somewhere around 1500 squirrels and found 3000 different stories to tell about it. What man doesn't?
It marked a first for me with that family that I have become so close to, I met all of their children. Their oldest son was serving a mission when I was and I never had the chance to meet Landon until now. They truly are a wonderful family, but I think the crown jewel is Grandma Blatter who I think gave them all a little of their, uh, fire. She is hilarious. No offense to the rest of the family!! So, my thanks to the Blatter family. I had a great time and I hope you did too.
